Headteacher's Welcome

drkatwal(2)

Dear Families,

As we move into the spring term, Redbridge Primary School is really beginning to feel like home! Although I have only been here since September, I have been made to feel very welcome by all the children, staff and parents in our learning community. It is a pleasure to come to school every day.

And I want all our children to feel exactly the same way. To that end, I have asked our teachers to introduce a creative curriculum this term.  I am hoping that your children may have spoken to you about some of their learning experiences! A creative curriculum is designed to link different subjects within the National Curriculum through core texts that inspire creativity and fire children’s imaginations. I know that the staff are very excited about learning and teaching in this way.

I am very ambitious for Redbridge Primary School and I will have a particular focus on the children that are coming to the end of their respective key stages in Reception, Year 2 and Year 6. I want to ensure that they do well in their end of key stage assessments and we have set very high aspirational targets for their attainment. Children’s learning will be at the core of my leadership and all my efforts will continue to be geared towards a successful year for each and every child.

Yours Sincerely,

Dr K Atwal

Executive Headteacher
