Your child can either bring a healthy packed lunch to school, or enjoy a tasty hot meal each day from our school dinners menu.
A hot meal is provided in school each day. There is always a vegetarian and halal option. We do not serve pork or beef.
Cost of a school dinner is £2.00 per day. Dinners should be booked for the whole week and the money paid in advance. Money should be sent in a sealed envelope with the child’s name and class clearly marked.
Is your child eligible for Free School Meals?

Free School Meals / Pupil Premium Service
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a hot free school meal. However, if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 and you receive one of the listed qualifying benefits, you should make an application for free school meals as the school your child attends will receive extra funding.
If your child is in Year 3 or above, and you receive one of the listed qualifying benefits, you should make an application for free school meals.
To check eligibity visit https://pps.lgfl.org.uk. If eligible, you are not obliged to accept the free school meals for your child if you wish to make other arrangements, but we do want to encourage applications as the additional funding gained would still benefit education provision at the school.
Please speak to the school office if you need assistance
If you want your child to have packed lunch it must be healthy. Please ensure the lunchbox has the following:
- A drink- no fizzy drinks. Water or natural fruit juices are the best.
- Fruit – at least one piece.
- A sandwich, or a samosa, pasty or roll – meat or vegetable filling. No chocolate spread or peanut butter.
- A small salad. This can be fruit or vegetables or a mixture.
- NO SWEETS
The school does provide a workshop on creating a healthy lunchbox each summer term.
