School Meals

Your child can either bring a healthy packed lunch to school, or enjoy a tasty hot meal each day from our school dinners menu.

School Dinners

A hot meal is provided in school each day. There is always a vegetarian and halal option. We do not serve pork or beef.

Cost of a school dinner is £2.00 per day. Dinners should be booked for the whole week and the money paid in advance. Money should be sent in a sealed envelope with the child’s name and class clearly marked.

Is your child eligible for Free School Meals?

Try the Free School Meals Eligibility Checker

‘Free School Meals / Pupil Premium Service’ – is a website where parents can quickly and easily check eligibility for free school meals and, if eligible, also gain welcome additional funding for their child’s school, known as ‘Pupil Premium’. If eligible, you are not obliged to accept the free school meals for your child if you wish to make other arrangements, but we do want to encourage applications as the additional funding gained would still benefit education provision at the school.

This does not affect the new universal free school meals which is available to all children in Reception, Years 1 and 2; however, if your child is in those years and you think you might be entitled to free school meals under the old system, please could you apply?

Please speak to the school office if you need assistance

Packed Lunches

If you want your child to have packed lunch it must be healthy. Please ensure the lunchbox has the following:

  • A drink- no fizzy drinks. Water or natural fruit juices are the best.
  • Fruit – at least one piece.
  • A sandwich, or a samosa, pasty or roll – meat or vegetable filling. No chocolate spread or peanut butter.
  • A small salad. This can be fruit or vegetables or a mixture.

The school does provide a workshop on creating a healthy lunchbox each summer term.
