School Admissions & Parent Visits
We welcome visits from any parents and children considering applying for places at this school. You can normally expect to be given a guided tour of the school by one of the office staff who will be happy to answer any questions. During this visit you will receive any current information the school has to offer. Please telephone the school office for a visit and indicate at this time whether you would like a meeting with the Headteacher.
All parents and children who have already accepted a place will be required to sign our ‘Home School Agreement’ prior to admission.
We have 24 classes and a nursery.
The school has four forms in each year group from Reception up to Year 6.
The admission form should only be completed and returned to the school office when requested.
Admission to the Nursery
The nursery has a total of 78 places, 39 per session. Admissions are considered as follows:
- 4 year olds in catchment area with preference to older pupils
- 4 year old with siblings in the school, with preference to older pupils
- 3 year olds in catchment area with preference to older pupils
- 3 year old with siblings in the school, with preference to older pupils.
More information about our nursery, including a virtual tour, and introduction to the team and useful information and downloads can be found on our Nursery Guide page.
Please be aware that admission to nursery does not guarantee a place in Reception, parents need to apply for a Reception place through the Local Authority at the given time.
Admission to School
Admission to the Reception classes are managed through the Local Authority. There is no automatic right of entry for nursery pupils to the school and an application process is undertaken.
All reception pupils are admitted in the September of the academic year. This can be a phased entry for parents who request this.
Families who move to the area and require placement for pupils mid year must contact the Local Authority admissions department:
Lynton House, 255 – 259 High Road, Ilford. IG1 1NN
020 8554 5000
More information about our school, including a virtual tour and useful information and downloads for reception and year 1 can be found on our School Guide page.
